About me

I was born in the Netherlands, 1980. Art always held my interest and I was over the moon when I was accepted into the AKI Art College in Enschede, the Netherlands (Currently part of ArtEZ). I studied there for 2 years, following classes in Mixed Media, Photography and Illustration. I felt, however, that I needed more of a mental stimulance to be able to grow as an artist, so I left in 2001 to study religions at the University in Nijmegen. I gained my Bachelors in 2004 and moved on to the University in Utrecht to gain my master in Medieval studies in 2005. My final thesis made a comparison between two medieval dutch handwritings concerning journeys through hell, one by a man named Tundal (Tundal's Vision) and one by St. Patrick (St. Patrick's Purgatory).

The results of these years in university show clearly in my work which tend to have a religious, esotherical or magical element to them. My favorite subjects tend to be conflict, death, heaven and hell, mordid otherworlds filled with fantasy and danger alike.

Every now and again I try to avidly steer away from these subject and try my hand at something more colorful and girly.

I am a non-exclusively by Dark Arts represented photographer
